Notice of Firmware Update for Tamron Lens compatibility with Nikon Z7 and FTZ adapter for A025, A022, A037 (Nov. 2018)
Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses.
Thank you for using Tamron products and for your continuous support.
We would like to announce that new firmware versions are now available for the following three Tamron models. The new F/W versions make the three models compatible with Nikon Z7 and FTZ adapter for general operations (*1).
This is an update announcement of our October 4th compatibility notice with some of Tamron Di/Di II series for NIkon mount models not operating properly on Nikon Z7 and Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ.
(*1) Functions used on DSLR cameras
*Applicable models
SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A025) for Nikon
SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 (Model A022) for Nikon
17-35mm F/2.8-4 Di OSD (Model A037) for Nikon
The lens firmware can be updated with the separately sold TAP-in Console. If you do not have a TAP-in Console, please contact your nearest Tamron distributors.

How to update the firmware:
Please connect TAP-in Console (the product itself) to an internet-connected personal computer. Please start up the “TAP-in Utility”, the dedicated software program of TAP-in Console, the update screen will automatically appear. Please follow the instruction that appears on the screen.
*For Nikon and Sony mount users, the same screen will pop up, we do recommend to follow the instruction and to update the firmware.

Tamron is carrying out a firmware updating of TAP-in Console (the product itself) as follows, for further improving its functions.
What this update covers:
To match the New announced SP 24-70 mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A032) for Canon cameras (Planned to launch on September 2, 2017)
How to update the firmware:
Please connect TAP-in Console (the product itself) to an internet-connected personal computer. Please start up the “TAP-in Utility”, the dedicated software program of TAP-in Console, the update screen will automatically appear. Please follow the instruction that appears on the screen.

Firmware update service is now available for SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (F012) and SP 45mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (F013)

Thank you for using Tamron products.
We wish to notify you that we will perform updating of the firmware for our SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F012) and SP 45mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F013) lens products.
■ Affected models
SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F012) for Nikon, Canon
SP 45mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F013) for Nikon, Canon
■ Serial numbers
If your serial number is found on the list at the link below it has already been updated.
Firmware update will not be required for these serial numbers.
Please check the serial numbers from the link here.
All lenses as of June 1st, 2016 have already been updated. To check if your lens has already been updated please attach the lens to the tap in console and verify. If you receive the message below then the lens is in need of an update.

■ The improvements expected as a result
1. You will now be able to use TAP-in Console (optional and sold separately) with the lens products above. (for Nikon and Canon)
2. Whereas the issue of the exposure becoming unstable under certain particular conditions when using these lenses with either the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II or EOS 80D camera has been reported in some cases, the lens firmware updating will improve for this issue. (for Canon)
