On November 1, 2020, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of our founding.
The lifespan of companies is often said to be 30 years.
We have developed and grown by providing a range of optical products for 70 years.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to customers
and other stakeholders who have supported our development.

The world economy is facing one of its greatest economic crises since WWII due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consumer spending and corporate activities have been seriously affected. The environment surrounding us is changing dramatically with accelerating technological innovation. We need to address challenges in the age of coexistence with the coronavirus and deal with global environmental issues. It is important for companies to respond to those changes and challenges.

Ahead of the 70th anniversary, Tamron reviewed its corporate mission and goals for the future, setting its sights on the realization of a sustainable society and seeking to pass its founding spirit down to future generations and keep it thriving in the next decades and ultimately become a company that achieves a century of history. To achieve these goals, we have formulated a code of behavior and conduct and a new framework for our corporate mission. We have also created a unified international brand slogan focusing on optical technologies and the future to emphasize that we are a company that is looking ahead.

Tamron will continue to provide excitement and a feeling of security around the world through products using its strong optical technologies and will contribute to creating a fulfilling society by enriching people's minds. We will work to help solve social issues through our business, aiming to become a company that contributes to achieving a sustainable society and that is respected and truly needed.
